Beginning in 2000, UBLTS served the Malayan Racing Association (MRA) as a specialised laboratory providing anti-doping testing services. In December 2015, UBLTS took over the laboratory testing services from Usains Holding in an effort to consolidate, expand and market the testing services offered by the USM community. The range of laboratory testing services offered encompasses the fields of engineering, materials, chemicals, food, biology, biotechnology, and medical sciences. With this new undertaking UBLTS is the ONE-STOP laboratory testing centre of USM providing ON-TIME delivery of quality laboratory results.

UBLTS as a one-stop testing centre offers potential customers access to a wide range of testing services and expertise available from USM. USM laboratories have the ability to deliver high quality analytical data that are ACCURATE, INDEPENDENT, and RELIABLE. A one-stop centre also translates to time and cost savings for customers in search of a series of tests necessary for fulfilling regulatory and compliance requirements. Furthermore, USM’s NEUTRALITY in performing these testing lends credence to the results produced.
