CAMPUS VISIT BY WENZHOU LIUYI EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY
CAMPUS VISIT BY WENZHOU LIUYI EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY
28 JANUARY 2024
As part of USAINS’ business expansion plan, we are embarking on several new projects. This project is a collaborative effort between USAINS, IMCC, and other relevant authorities of USM as well as external parties. This is in light of bringing USAINS’ activities to the next level. We hope this project will be well received.
There are 4 new projects one of which has just been run on 28 January 2024. After discussions with IMCC, the activities are as follows:
- Campus visit (customized package)
- Penang’s Heritage Trail (customized Edu-tourism package)
- Immerse in the Malaysian spirit (Essence of Malaysia)
- A walk through part of Malaysia’s past (The archaeological park)
The campus visit package is not just targeted at potential students but is also targeted at other visitors which might include parents or guardians of potential students.
On the Sunday afternoon of January 28, 2024, we received our first group of visitors from LY Education Technology. The group comprised 30 students and seniors led by our authorised agent Mr. Yang Yuchen from Wenzhou Liuyi Education Technology. I received this group at Masjid Al-Malik and brought them to IMCC. There, we were greeted by Dr. Hafizal and the buddies at 2.00 pm. Our guests were brought into the very casual and relaxed meeting room and were briefed by Dr. Hafizal on Penang and a walkthrough of USM and its facilities.
This was followed by a session of activities involving a few popular Malaysian cultural games like the congkak, batu Seremban, etc. The room was filled with joy, laughter, and claps with everyone getting a fair share of the games. Despite the language barrier, everything went on very smoothly, and as the English saying goes “ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END”. By 4.00 pm we had to bid them farewell as they had to head for their next destination, Georgetown. But of course, as a normal practice, we took a few group photographs as memories to be kept in our hearts.
